Wave 24 deadline has passed — and more waves are coming

The Wave 24 deadline (30 June 2026) has passed. If you were included and have not yet integrated with the Fatoora platform, every day of delay raises the risk of fines up to 50,000 SAR per violation — correct your status now. If you have not been included yet, ZATCA keeps announcing new waves with lower revenue thresholds, and preparing early protects you.

FAQ

ZATCA e-invoicing — FAQ

I missed my ZATCA wave deadline — what should I do?

Integrate immediately. Missing your wave deadline does not make a fine inevitable — ZATCA considers how quickly you correct your status, and every extra day of delay raises the risk of a violation and of it repeating. Watily activates the Fatoora integration within 24 hours of receiving your commercial registration and VAT number.

What are the e-invoicing waves and who is included?

ZATCA rolls out the Integration phase in successive waves, each targeting a lower revenue bracket than the one before (Wave 24, for example, covered businesses above 375,000 SAR). Each business is notified at least six months ahead — if you have been notified or expect to be included in an upcoming wave, preparing early avoids the rush and the fines.

What are the penalties for non-compliance?

E-invoicing violations carry fines between 5,000 and 50,000 SAR per violation depending on type and repetition, plus possible loss of input VAT deduction. Complying — even late — stops these risks from accumulating.

Is Watily compliant with ZATCA Phase 2?

Yes. Watily e-invoicing is fully compliant with Phase 2 (the Integration phase): XML invoices, a QR code on every invoice, cryptographic stamping, and direct API integration with the Fatoora platform.

How long does activation take?

Activation typically takes 24 hours once you provide your commercial registration and VAT number. The Watily team handles integration and verification with the Fatoora platform end-to-end, and you start issuing compliant invoices immediately.

How much does the e-invoicing system cost?

Watily plans are flexible and tiered, and every plan includes ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing alongside WhatsApp automation, loyalty cards, and a booking system in the same subscription — with no hidden setup fees. See current pricing in the plans section above.

Is the invoice sent to the customer automatically?

Yes. After a ZATCA-compliant invoice is issued it is automatically sent to the customer on WhatsApp as a PDF with the QR code, and a payment link can be attached for deferred invoices.
